Leinster and Munster name sides for Croke Park clash

Both Leinster and Munster have named their sides for their United Rugby intraprovincial clash at Croke Park on Friday.

Over 80,000 supporters will grace Croke Park this weekend to watch their first meeting of the season.

Here's a rundown of both teams selected, starting with Leinster:

Leinster head coach Leo Cullen has made three changes to the team that won against Benetton last week.

James Ryan is back and starts alongside Munster old boy RG Snyman in the second row. Lee Barron, Andrew Porter, and Tadhg Furlong make up the front row.

The back row consists of Caelan Doris, the captain, Jack Conan, and Josh van der Flier.

The back three feature fullbacks Hugo Keenan, Liam Turner, and James Lowe.

Ciarán Frawley is Leinster's outhalf, with Jamison Gibson-Park at scrumhalf.

Jamie Osborne and Garry Ringrose start as the province's centres.

Gus McCarthy, Cian Healy, Thomas Clarkson, Ryan Baird, Max Deegan, Luke McGrath, Ross Byrne, and Harry Byrne start on the bench.

Munster, on the other hand, have made four changes and one positional switch from the game against Ospreys at Virgin Media Park last week.

Mike Haley, Calvin Nash, and Sean O'Brien start in a back three, with O'Brien back from the Emerging Ireland tour.

Tom Farrell and Alex Nankivell start in midfield after returning from injury.

Jack Crowley and Craig Casey start as the province's out-halves.

Jeremy Loughman, Niall Scannell, and Stephen Archer make up the front row. Jean Kleyn and captain Tadhg Beirne form the second row, and finally, a back row trio of Jack O’Donoghue, John Hodnett, and Gavin Coombes completes the side.

Diarmuid Barron, Kieran Ryan, John Ryan, Tom Ahern, Ruadhán Quinn, Conor Murray, Tony Butler, and Academy winger Shay McCarthy make up Munster's bench.

The game later kicks off at 5.45pm with live coverage on RTÉ.
