CHRISTMAS MAY come early for Irish boxing fans if they get their way this upcoming St Patrick's day, fans have requested for Irish duo Katie Taylor and Michael Conlan to co-headline a bumper St Patrick's Day card in 2022.
The news came after Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing managed to win the purse for Conlan's world title fight with Leigh Wood.
Taylor who is set to co-headline a card with Conor Benn in Liverpool in December will fight Amanda Serrano next year in what could be an historic night for Irish boxing.

A full announcement is expected later this week about her opponent as she will defend her world titles in a mandatory bout.
The Bray woman has her sights set on the biggest female fight of all time against the legendary Serrano.
This bout that along with Conlan's is a mouthwatering prospect for Irish boxing fans and there's even been calls for the duo to fight at the same time.
Social media banded the idea about the pair pulling this off in New York's Madison Square Garden.
One user wrote: "Paddys day and michael conlan and katie taylor is easy money and in the garden is just next level they wouldn't miss out on that sort of money it would be legendary"
