John Aldrige advises Harry Kane not to move to Germany

Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge has advised Harry Kane not to make the move to Germany this transfer window.

It appears that Kane is on the verge of a sensational move to German superclub Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur for a £100m fee.

There has been much speculation that Kane would stay at Spurs, but that has not been the case according to reports this week.

Aldridge, who played for his boyhood club Liverpool, believes that Kane should not walk away from the club that made him an established name in England.

“I used to go home and away to watch Liverpool and it was in my blood, but is Tottenham in Kane’s blood? That’s the question I would ask,” Aldridge told Sundayworld.com.

"The way football works now, I question whether any player has loyalty to a club any more because for me, I would have stayed at Liverpool for life if I had the choice.

Kane will also be able to add to his net worth with the move to Germany, but the former Ireland striker believes that the money aspect should not come into the equation when deciding to make a huge move.

"He’s no pauper. He’s made for life, his kids are made for life, and his grandkids are made for life. For me, I wouldn’t move," he added.

"How many million pounds do you want? How many millions do you need to live your life? I don’t understand why players are so desperate to move to get more money these days.

"If I was Kane and I had given so much to one club, I’d strive to get them back into the Champions League or to win a League Cup or FA Cup with Tottenham. He might see it differently."

Spurs start their new campaign with Kane in a trip to Brentford this coming Sunday. Kick-off is at 2 pm.
