JJ McDonagh is relishing his underdog status as gets ready to step into the ring with Chris Eubank Jr this evening.
The pair square off in the Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as part of the same bill as George Groves and Callum Smith in the World Boxing Super Series.
Eubank Jr boasts a 26-2 record but lost last time out to Groves in February.
And the Mullingar boxer is determined to keep him down.

âI have nothing to lose, he has it all to lose,â he said.
âI wasnât expecting to fight out here. But itâs a great opportunity for me and I would never have turned it down.â
The bout was only confirmed in mid-September, but the super middleweight isnât worried about a lack of preparation or Eubankâs profile.
âIâm surprised he (Eubank) didnât retire after he embarrassed himself against Groves,â said McDonagh.
âIâm not scared to go in with anybody.â
The Eubank-McDonagh fight is on ITV Box Office this evening and is expected to get underway at 8pm.Â
