MANCHESTER UNITED'S player overhaul continued on Friday after Paul Pogba's departure.
Jesse Lingard became the second player the club let go on a free transfer
Lingard had been at the club since the age of seven and has struggled for game over the years.
A fruitful loan at David Moyes' West Ham in 2021 ,where he scored nine times in 16 games revitalized the 29-year-old, but he never managed to hit those heights again.
The 29-year-old will leave the club he has been with since the age of seven.
A statement on Manchester United's website read: “We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Jesse for all of the memories he’s helped create during his two decades here and wish him the best of luck in his future career,” United on ManUtd.com.

A key member of Warren Joyce’s FA Youth Cup-winning side in 2011,
Lingard will always be remembered for the winner in the 2016 FA Cup final win over Crystal Palace
Midfielder Paul Pogba also left the club that same day
The club said: 'Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Paul on his successful career, and thank him for his contributions to Manchester United.'
'We wish him all the best for the next steps on a remarkable journey'.
