James Short leaves London Irish for Exeter

LONDON Irish have agreed to allow James Short to join Exeter Chiefs after releasing the winger from his contract.

The 25-year-old scored five tries in 19 appearances for the Exiles, but the club’s Head of Rugby Operations, Glenn Delaney, insists they are not light of resources in Short’s position.

He told the club’s official website: “James has asked to be released from his London Irish contract and the club is happy to adhere to his wish.

“We have plenty of options so we are in a good position to allow James to leave.”

London Irish begin their Aviva Premiership campaign at home to Leicester Tigers on October 18.
