REPUBLIC of Ireland international James McClean has been making headlines once again, this time for calling Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp ‘a bit of an idiot’.
Klopp, who replaced Antrim native Brendan Rodgers earlier this year, was an animated character on the touchline during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with McClean’s West Brom on Sunday.
McClean played 90 minutes in the game, but Klopp drew criticism for failing to shake the hand of Baggies boss Tony Pulis.
Derry man McClean insists he respects Klopp for the work he done in Germany with Dortmund, has condemned him for his actions during the game at Anfield.
"I’ve got a lot of respect for the man because he done a great job at Dortmund," McClean said of Klopp.
"But I think he is a bit of an idiot to be honest after the game on Sunday. Win, lose or draw you have got to be respectful."
