JAMES McClean and his fellow Derry native Vincent Sweeney have teamed up to help fund a better Christmas for the homeless in their hometown.
Local charities The House in the Wells and Foyle Valley House, which are both managed by Apex Housing Association, offer help and support to men and women who are homeless and dependent on alcohol.
And in conjunction with former Derry City player Sweeney, who confirmed the generous act via his Facebook page, the two made a 'significant' donation in time for Christmas, according to the Derry Journal.
