AN Irishman has taken inspiration from lob legends David Beckham and Xabi Alonso in beating a goalkeeper from just inside the half-way line.
Millwall midfielder Shaun Williams has netted one to tell the grandchildren about, despite ending up on the losing side during the Lions’ 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest midweek.
What’s more, the poor soul on the end of Williams’ lob was compatriot and fellow Dub Stephen Henderson in the Forest goal.
