WE MIGHT just have a star on our hands.
Andrew Omobamidele made his first Championship start for Norwich against Preston at the weekend, and impressed massively.
Despite the game finishing 1-1, he received the man-of-the-match award and received praise from Norwich fans across the board.
So much so that he was rewarded for his weekend performance and was given a start against Huddersfield on Tuesday night.
While most neutrals were understandably watching the Champions League matches, Norwich fans saw their side win 7-0 in an incredible performance to see them extend their lead at the top of the Championship.
While Omobamidele didn't get on the score sheet himself, he looked assured at the back, and helped the side keep a clean sheet in the incredible victory.
He also played the ball out from the back in a very confident manner, which will have surely caught the eye of Ireland boss Stephen Kenny.
The Leixlip lad is still only 18, but to get experiences like this will leave him in a very decent position going forward in his career.
The side have all but confirmed their place in the Premier League next season, and have done so in extremely convincing fashion.
If Omobamidele is to keep taking his chance when awarded it, he could end up sneaking his way into a Premier League starting 11 next season.
