Athletics:
- Women’s 100m Hurdles: Sarah Lavin finished 2nd in her heat with a time of 12.73, advancing directly to the semi-final (Aug 9th).
- Men’s 5000m: Brian Fay finished 12th in his heat with a time of 13:55.35 and did not progress.
- Men’s 800m: Mark English finished 2nd in his heat with a time of 1:45.15, advancing directly to the semi-final (Aug 9th).
- Women’s 1500m:

- Women’s Individual, Round 1:
- Stephanie Meadow shot a round of 78, finishing six-over, tied for 50th.
- Leona Maguire also shot a round of 78, finishing six-over, tied for 50th.

- Men’s Dinghy: Finn Lynch finished 8th in the rescheduled medal race, placing 10th overall.
