Irish BBC commentator hilariously shuts down pro-Brexit tweet after Joshua-Klitschko fight

AN IRISH BBC commentator had a quick comeback for a pro-Brexit Twitter user after they tried to compare the Joshua-Klitschko fight with Britain leaving the EU.

British boxer Anthony Joshua, who is of Irish and Nigerian origin, beat Wladimir Klitschko in a fight on Saturday, April 29, at Wembley.

After Joshua's victory over Klitschko, an account named 'LEAVE.EU' tweeted: "Knocked out and grovelling, how the EU will be feeling in just under two years time?Britain triumphant."

However, BBC Commentator Conor McNamara wasted no time correcting the Tweeter as per Joshua's heritage.

"Anthony Joshua is of Nigerian/Irish descent," McNamara said, "He's actually living proof of how immigration has benefitted Britain."

McNamara's tweet has since gone viral with over 16,000 likes and 12,000 retweets.
