Ireland's squad for the upcoming England and Greece matches is out

Republic of Ireland Head Coach Heimir Hallgrímsson has named his squad for the UEFA Nations League matches against England and Greece next month.

England will face Ireland at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, September 7, with kick-off at 5 p.m. Greece will visit the same venue on Tuesday, September 10, with kick-off at 7:45 p.m.

Hallgrímsson recently spoke about using the "granny rule" to attract Ireland players, and he has done exactly that. Leicester City winger Kasey McAteer joins the squad after completing his paperwork and receiving international clearance from FIFA. The 22-year-old scored seven goals last season and also made his Premier League debut this year.

Ireland captain Seamus Coleman and striker Evan Ferguson are back in the squad after missing previous Ireland games. Cardiff City strikers Callum Robinson, Alan Browne, and Jayson Molumby are also back in the Ireland fold.

However, Chiedozie Ogbene and Nathan Collins will miss the England and Greece games due to injuries, respectively. Gavin Bazunu and Josh Cullen will also miss out.
