Ireland’s road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico is officially set. Drawn in Group F, Heimir Hallgrímsson’s team will face Hungary, Armenia, and either Portugal or Denmark.
September 2025 Fixtures
The action kicks off with a home game against Hungary at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, September 6th, at 7:45 pm.
Just three days later, Ireland will travel to Armenia for their second match on Tuesday, September 9th, with kick-off at 5 pm (Irish time).
October 2025 Fixtures
In October, Ireland will face their toughest test with an away trip to play Portugal or Denmark on Saturday, October 11th at 7:45 pm (Irish time).
They’ll then return to the Aviva Stadium for a match against Armenia on Tuesday, October 14th, also at 7:45 pm.

The final two matches of the campaign come in November.
First up is a home game against Portugal or Denmark at the Aviva Stadium on Thursday, November 13th, at 7:45 pm.
The group concludes with an away game in Hungary on Sunday, November 16th, with kick-off at 2 pm (Irish time).
