Head Coach Richie Murphy has today named a 32-man Ireland squad for the upcoming 2023 U20 Six Nations,
Gus McCarthy of Leinster has been made campaign for the tournament.
The young Ireland team have already played challenge matches against Italy, Munster Development and Leinster Development over the Christmas period.
Ireland's first game will be against Wales on Friday 3 February, they will then play France in Musgrave Park the following Friday.
The Grandslam holders then travel to Italy and Scotland in consectutive Fridays between the end of Feb and the middle of March, before closing out the campaign with a game against England at Musgrave Park on the 19th of March, which is on Sunday

Speaking about his team selection today at the PwC HQ in Dublin, Murphy said, “We have been working hard for a number of weeks and it’s an exciting time for these young players, who have the honour of representing the wider group in the Six Nations."
“We as coaches have pushed the players over the last number of months and I have been impressed by their work-rate, commitment and application. Now our focus turns to performance and the opening game against Wales, which we know will be a big challenge first up.
“We are looking forward to the opportunities over the coming weeks and are excited by the prospect of an Ireland U20s team returning to Six Nations action at Musgrave Park in Cork, where we always have huge support.
