The Ireland’s Women’s National Team (WNT) have given their support to the GOAL Mile ahead of their UEFA EURO 2025 play-off with Cymru.
As they bid to qualify for the European Championships for the first time—taking on Cymru in Cardiff on Friday, November 29th, before hosting the same opponent in Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, December 3rd—the squad wanted to call for public support for a cause that spans the globe.
The WNT are supporting the Goal Mile, an Irish tradition that unites communities while making a life-changing impact on vulnerable populations worldwide. In partnership with GOAL Global, the squad is urging fans to show up and participate in their local GOAL Mile, a powerful demonstration of teamwork and solidarity.
WNT captain Katie McCabe said: “On behalf of the Ireland Women’s National Team, we are happy to support GOAL with their annual GOAL Mile that helps provide much-needed help to people around the world who are affected by life-changing situations.
