IRELAND WILL PREPARE for next year's World Cup with a warm-up game against England before the tournament.
The biggest rugby event on the calendar will take place in France next year, and Ireland will be one of the big favourites to take home the Webb Ellis cup.
Ireland's game will take place in the Aviva Stadium on the 19 August before the World Cup starts on 8 September.
Six months prior to this Ireland will take on Eddie Jones side in Dublin in the Six Nations on March 18.
Ireland beat England 32-15 in Twickenham in last year's competition.
"It's a great chance to benchmark ourselves against the current No 1 team in the world," Eddie Jones said.
"We are looking forward to taking them on in front of a lively Irish crowd and work towards being at our best for when the Rugby World Cup starts."
Leinster have also confirmed they will host Chile in a friendly next month.
The South Americans will provide opposition for Leo Cullen's side on Friday 18 November at 2pm, with admission at Energia Park in Donnybrook free of charge.
"We are always looking for ways to give our players and indeed our coaches opportunities to test themselves and, in this window, there was an opportunity to look at something different," said the Leinster boss.
"It’s great that we are able to welcome Chile to Energia Park, a team that have qualified for the Rugby World Cup for the first time ever and I know they are using this game as a good run-out for them as they start to prepare for the tournament in France next year."
"With many of our players away with Ireland and with Ireland ‘A’ during the month of November, I’m looking forward to seeing what the players can deliver against an international side."
