The Ireland team to face Wales is out 18-year-old Ulster prop Sadhbh McGrath starts her first game

IRELAND'S TEAM TO FACE WALES IN THE  TikTok Women’s Six Nations is out. 

Head Coach Greg McWilliams has selected an expierenced and youthful side for the clash against the Welsh in  in Cardiff.

Nichola Fryday will captain the side from the second row. Sam Monaghan starts beside her.

Dorothy Wall, Maeve Óg O’Leary and Brittany Hogan are selected in the back row.

Neve Jones, Linda Djougang, and the debutant McGrath start in the front row.

McWilliams has also gone with a back three of Meabh Deely, Aoife Doyle and Natasja Behan.

Aoife Dalton and Enya Breen start in the centre.

Nichole Cronin and Molly Scuffil-McCabe start as Ireland's half backs.

Commenting on the selection, the Ireland Head Coach said: “The start of a Championship campaign is always an exciting time and we come into this weekend ready to get to task against a strong Welsh side. We have had a good block of preparation and this is the start of the next chapter on our journey, which we started as a group in Japan last summer.”
