THE Ireland Women’s cricket team have qualified for next year’s T20 World Cup after beating Scotland on Thursday.
It’s the latest feat in a growing sport in Ireland, as captain Isobel Joyce’s and her team-mates will take part alongside the best in the world in India in 2016.
Qualification came about following a nine-wicket win over the Scots, seeing Ireland advance to Saturday’s qualifier final against Bangladesh with their place at the tournament already secured.
