Ireland A vs All Blacks XV team news

THE IRELAND A TEAM to face the All Blacks XV at The RDS on Friday evening (Kick-off 7.45pm is out.

12 players who were part of the Ireland side that faced the Māori All Blacks during the Summer Tour of New Zealand will play the game.

Craig Casey, Gavin Coombes, Ciarán Frawley, Dave Heffernan, James Hume, Jeremy Loughman, Michael Lowry, Joe McCarthy, Jimmy O’Brien, Tom O’Toole, Cian Prendergast and Nick Timoney all start together again.

Casey captains the side. Ulster's Jacob Stockdale starts the game. Jamie Osborne also starts.

It's a massive honour, for me, my family, for everyone who has helped me to this point, I think it's a huge honour for them as well," said Casey.

"I was absolutely delighted. It's a huge thing to be part of, to be asked to lead a side.

"All my teams growing up in Ardscoil Rís I was captain, and with Ireland U18s I had a bit of captaincy. I'm well used to captaining teams but this is to a next level, and controlling the week with lads who are part of the leadership group has been enjoyable."

Diarmuid Barron, Jack Crowley, Max Deegan and Calvin Nash who played on the Emerging Ireland tour start from the bench.

Tickets for the Ireland ‘A’game against the All Blacks XV are available here

You can watch the game live on Virgin Media in Republic of Ireland.
