THE BERKELEY Foundation GAA 7s Tournament in association with London GAA is taking place this afternoon at Hazelwood, the home of London Irish RFC.
Last year £53,000 was raised and organisers are hoping for a similarly successful event in 2015.
Sean Gavin, part of the organising committee, said: “A big thank you, to Mick Crossan, Bob Casey, and Nicola Browne, who have helped us to secure this excellent venue. Hazelwood has been developed to deliver an International standard training centre for London Irish Club and Academy – it’s a fantastic piece of development and foresight.
“A huge thank you to the GAA Board and players for giving us their time and recourses here today and we wish them the best in their upcoming Connacht First Round match against Roscommon on May 24.”
