DURING the last week Irish sports stars have been in action in sporting arenas stretching from Dublin to Sochi.
Here is a look at the week's highlights:
1. Six Nations
That's going to hurt! This cameraman definitely got close to the action during the Ireland and Wales clash at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday. If hauling heavy camera equipment around for the entire game was not a sufficient test of strength, bearing the weight of a 95-100kg rugby player certainly will be!
2. Winter Olympics
Early Exit - Young Irish hopeful Seamus O'Connor's dreams of glory end as he crashes out in the Snowboard Men's Halfpipe Semifinal on day four of the 2014 Winter Olympics. It seems that his green snowboarding attire couldn't bring him the 'luck of the Irish' in Sochi.
3. Horse racing
Dude, where's my horse? There's a key object missing from this picture. A horse. Tony McCoy was left riding solo after he was ejected from his horse at Leopardstown racecourse in Dublin.
4. Golf
Certainly not One Direction fans... Graeme McDowell fans line the green at the 16th hole during the second round of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in Pebble Beach, California. It seems that you're never too old!
5. Soccer
Handball!!! Someone needs to tell John O'Shea that he's playing a Premier League match and not in the GAA as he stumbles to the ground and lunges his hands towards the ball during Sunderland's home match against Hull City.
