ICYMI: Seamus Power won the Butterfield Bermuda Championship to secure his second ever victory on the PGA Tour

WATERFORD'S SEAMUS POWER managed to secure his second PGA title last weekend by winning the Butterfield Bermuda Championship by one shot.

Power ended the final day with a final round of -19, 70 ahead of Belgium's Thomas Deltry -18, 67.

The Irish man's recorded three birdies on the front nine highlighting his good form on the final day at the Port Royal Golf course.

He birdied twice more on 14 and 17, and bogeyed the final hole, but held on to win his second title on Sunday.

Powers Victory at the Barbasol Championship in July 2021 was his maiden success on Tour.

Speaking to Sky Sports Power said: "This course was always going to be a tale of two sides."

"You're going to make some birdies on the front and I knew it was going to be really hard coming in.

"I made hard work of it in the end, but I'm delighted to get it done."

The 35-year-old added: "It's a completely different feeling (to the first win) but it's just as special. I play a lot of tournaments and it's going to take a little while to sink in."

In 2021 Power was ranked 433, but after good form in 2022 he climbed into the top 50. This meant he managed to get to his second US Masters as well as The PGA Championship, The Players Championship and a host of other high-level events.

Now after his victory last weekend Power has now risen to 32 in the world rankings and eighth on Europe's Ryder Cup points list.
