Speaking about the fixture, Munster Rugby CEO Ian Flanagan said, "We will be delighted to welcome the All Blacks XV to Thomond Park in November as part of their Northern Hemisphere tour. We have a long and rich history of hosting international sides, and I’m sure November’s match will add another exciting chapter to this tradition."
This match comes 46 years after Munster became the first Irish team to beat the All Blacks at old Thomond Park. The 12–0 victory took place on Tuesday, October 31, 1978, in front of a crowd of 12,000. Munster were coached by former Ireland and British and Irish Lions captain Tom Kiernan.
