WES HOOLAHAN looks set to miss Ireland’s Euro 2016 qualifier with Scotland after being ruled out for “a number of weeks” with an ankle ligament injury.
Hoolahan was forced off for his club Norwich City against Fulham last weekend and saw a specialist this week to assess the injury.
Norwich boss Neil Adams said: "Wes went to see the specialist on Wednesday, and he’s going to be out for a number of weeks. It’s ankle ligament damage, as we first feared.
"It’s a shame, obviously you keep your fingers crossed but it’s going to be number of weeks before he’s back with us unfortunately."
Ireland face Scotland on 14 November in Celtic Park.
