ONE Galway GAA fan has provided a brilliant insight into the training regime and on-pitch skills of his hurling hero, full back Daithí Burke.
Ahead of the All-Ireland hurling semi-final on Sunday between Galway and Tipperary, RTÉ Sport took to the streets outside Croke Park.
Before the game they came across three hopeful Galway fans, who were keen to share who they felt would be the man to stop Tipp's star hurler Seamus Callanan.
Callanan scored 3-9 in the same fixture 12 months previous.
One fan in particular, while praising the skills of Daithí Burke, gave a particularly funny insight into the training regime of the Galway star.
"Daithi Burke...his auld lad has a farm. He's been throwing heifers over gates," he joked.
"He's strong as an ox," the enthusiastic, unnamed Galway fan added.
Ultimately Burke's attempts proved futile as Seamus Callanan scored 0-9 for Tipperary and the Premier County ran out winners on a scoreline of 2-19 to 2-18.
But take a look at the fans' brilliant pre-match TV interview here...
