Here's a list of every nominee up for an RTÉ Sport Award this weekend

The RTÉ Sport Awards for 2023 will take place this weekend. Several awards, such as the RTÉ Sport Awards Sportsperson of the Year, the RTÉ Sport Team of the Year, the RTÉ Sport Young Sportsperson of the Year, and the RTÉ Sport Awards Manager of the Year, will be selected by an independent panel of expert judges from across the Irish sporting media and performance world. 

For the RTÉ Sport Awards Sportsperson of the Year, eight nominees have been nominated. These include former Ireland rugby captain Johnny Sexton, Ireland's women's football captain Katie McCabe, Irish boxing phenom Katie Taylor, Irish gymnast Rhys McClenaghan, Irish jockey Paul Townend, Paralympic swimmer Róisín Ní Riain, and Limerick's All-Ireland hero Aaron Gillane. 

The RTÉ Sport Team of the Year consists of the Cork camogie team, the All-Ireland winners Dublin in both men's and women's teams, the Irish rowing team, the Irish rugby team, Limerick hurlers, the Munster Rugby team, Para Cycling duo Katie-George Dunlevy and Linda Kelly, and League of Ireland champions Shamrock Rovers. 

For the RTÉ Sport Young Sportsperson of the Year, six people have been nominated. It consists of Brighton & Hove Albion's Evan Ferguson, Ireland's U20 rugby star Brian Gleeson, Irish Sailor of the Year Eve McMahon, long jumper Elizabeth Ndudi, European U20 Track star Nick Griggs, and Limerick swimmer Róisín Ní Riain. 

Finally, the RTÉ Sport Awards Manager of the Year will be contested by Ireland's Andy Farrell, Dublin's All-Ireland winning coach Dessie Farrell, Limerick's All-Ireland winning manager John Kiely, League of Ireland coach and Shamrock Rovers boss Stephen Bradley, La Rochelle head coach and Cork native Ronan O'Gara, Dublin's Ladies football manager Mick Bohan, Cork's All-Ireland camogie winner Matthew Twomey, veteran horse-trainer Willie Mullins, and rowing mastermind Paul O'Donovan. 

Irish broadcasters and media personalities Joanne Cantwell and Darragh Maloney will present the awards on the night, which will also be live on RTÉ One on Saturday, December 16.
