Hayes joins Brighton & Hove Albion

Ireland's Caitlin Hayes has signed for Women’s Super League side Brighton & Hove Albion from Celtic.
Hayes spent four years in Scotland and had a hand in several cup triumphs in her 153 appearances for the club. She also scored 40 goals for the club.Hayes has also earned 18 caps for Ireland.
Women's head coach Dario Vidosic said, “We're delighted to welcome Caitlin to the club. She's an experienced player who has competed at many levels in the game, including cup finals and the Champions League."She's progressed well in her time in Scotland, and we're looking forward to seeing her compete in the WSL with Brighton.”
During her time in Glasgow, the defender was part of the Celtic squad that won back-to-back Scottish Cups and the club's first SWPL league title
Hayes also had kind words for Celtic and admitted that wearing the green and white shirt was one of the biggest honours of her life. "It has been nothing short of one of the greatest honours of my life to wear the green and white," said Hayes.

"My nine-year-old self would never have believed that her wildest dreams would become her reality. But I guess, after all, I was just a girl with a dream and a fan that got lucky."Head coach Elena Sadiku added, “I want to thank Caitlin for everything she has done for the club, the fans, and the team overall throughout her years here.
“But especially since I have come to Glasgow, she has been very important for the team on the pitch.
“She has been a great character. She is taking the step now to the Women’s Super League with a great team like Brighton.
“She is achieving one of her dreams, which I’m always going to support my players to achieve and try to reach their full potential." Brighton takes on Manchester United this coming Sunday.
