SKY SPORTS PUNDIT GRAEME SOUNESS believes that Celtic and Rangers should share a stadium together and join the Premier League.
The Premier League is the most lucrative league in the world, where some of the league's poorer sides earn substantial amounts despite their rank and status in England's top division.
Scottish football for example is a different kettle of fish. For example, Celtic won the Scottish League in 2022 and only managed to make - £3.35m, while Rangers earnt 2.4 million.
In England clubs like Fulham and Sheffield United benefit from England's huge TV deal.
In the 2020/2021 season, Sheffield United, the club that finished bottom received £96.5m for the broadcast deal in England.
A long debate has rumbled on in football over the Scottish big two Rangers and Celtic making a move to the Premier League to increase their status and income.
Ex-Liverpool player Souness suggested a solution that involved the two of Glasgow's biggest rivals building a shared stadium and making their way to the Premier League.

“It’s such a disappointment for Scottish football but people ask me why they are uncompetitive, and I will tell you,” Souness wrote in his column for the Daily Mail.
“I live in Bournemouth where the football club has an 11,000-seat stadium but manages to play in the Premier League on the back of annual TV income upwards of £90m.
“Celtic and Rangers are huge clubs with massive fanbases and capacities in excess of 50,000 but their TV money is a tiny fraction of that, only about £2m or £3m a year. So, there is your answer.
“If the two Glasgow clubs agreed to build a 100,000 stadium to share and they joined our Premier League they would soon be progressive top half clubs. I would have them down here in a heartbeat.”
This move would be highly controversial as both sides harbour bad blood towards each other.
Fans of both clubs reacted to Souness's suggestion in ways expected on social media.
One Twitter user said: " Don’t be ridiculous, why would that even help?
Another said: "Really is this guy for real? Graeme Souness urges Rangers and Celtic to build shared stadium for Epl riches"
It more than likely won't happen, but the debate over the Scottish big two making a move to England will rumble on for quite a bit.
