SOME OF of England and Ireland’s greatest rugby heroes went head to head in Twickenham on Friday evening at the England v Ireland Rugby Legends Charity Match.
Now in it's seventh year, the fixture alternates annually between Twickenham and Dublin and takes place on the eve of the Ireland v England 6 Nations game. All of the players taking part volunteer to play free of charge, raising hugely valuable funds for both English and Irish charities.
This year’s beneficiaries will be The RPA’s Restart Rugby – The Players Charity; the RFU’s Injured Players Foundation, the IRFU Charitable Trust, The IRUPA and The Lewis Moody Foundation.
An entertaining game saw plenty of tries for both teams, with England retaining the Stuart Mangan Cup.
