Acccording to reports the All-Ireland football final could be moved back to the traditonal month of August.
The GAA's Central Council will this weekend consider whether to retain the Allianz Football League finals and push the All-Ireland SFC final back into the first weekend of August.

As per RTÉ the GAA's Central Competitions Control Committee has been actively engaged in an extensive consultation process to gather feedback regarding the current schedule.

Initially, it seemed that a majority of surveyed counties expressed a desire to eliminate the league finals. However, as the survey was extended, the sentiment shifted in the opposite direction.
Nevertheless, there appears to be a consensus for extending the duration of the inter-county championship by one more week. This potential adjustment could result in the senior All-Ireland football final being rescheduled to the first weekend of August.
This proposed change might come into effect as early as 2024, with the possibility of another alteration in 2025, which could directly impact the club campaign.
According to RTÉ counties have been solicited for their opinions on the idea of commencing the inter-county season a week earlier, starting on January 20. However, implementing this change would necessitate moving the All-Ireland club finals to January 13, a move that might prove challenging in 2024 due to ongoing county club championships.
