CLUB NOTICES
Croydon Camogie Club
Croydon Camogie Club is based in South London and has both Junior and Senior teams. New players of all levels are welcome. Training takes place twice weekly in Poulter Park, Mitcham and games take place on weekends. If you would like to join the club please email [email protected].
The Senior team lost their opening Championship group game against Tara on Saturday August 8 on a scoreline of 0-2 to 1-8. Tara opened the scoring in the first half and had two points by the 12th minute. Croydon responded with a point from Danielle O'Sullivan from play and Elaine Dunphy from a 45m free. However, Tara full forward Sheila Fernandez pounced for a goal just before halftime to leave the scores 0-2 to 1-2. Tara held Croydon scoreless in the second half scoring 0-6 without reply. The next senior game is against Fullen Gaels on September 30.
Eire Og
This coming Sunday we will play Moindearg in the Junior Championship semi-final in Ruislip at 5:30pm. This will be the clubs biggest game in our short history. All support welcome.
Training this week is on Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30 pm. We train in Downhill's Park, Haringey, N17 6AP. The nearest tube stations are Turnpike Lane (Piccadilly Line) and Seven Sisters (Victoria Line).We are a friendly, and social club and welcome players of all abilities who wish to play football. We are running a Premier League soccer Last Man Standing competition to raise much need funds for the club. If you wish to take part go to www.runlastman.com - find competition and search for Eire Og. Entry is £10 with a guaranteed £500 prize fund for the winner.
Training for Strictly Come dancing commended last week. Fair play to the ladies and gents from our club and Holloway Gaels for agreeing to take part. It promises to be a great night. More information on the date and ticket details will be provided next week.

Well done to the seniors who recorded an excellent 5-10 to 4-12 win over Round Towers in the league last Tuesday evening.

The Seniors are back in action this Sunday in the Cahill & Hurley Cup against Cambridge Parnells in Sundon Park at 3pm. Would be good to get back to winning ways after the disappointment of missing out on the League Final a week ago. Training continues every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm at Stockwood Park.

A date for your diaries is our Halloween Spectacular on Friday 31st October at Geordies Nightclub in Luton with music from The Bible Code Sundays. Tickets will be available from the start of September and will be £5 each. A night not to be missed!
Our Recent Cul Camp was once again a huge success at St.Josephs, Luton. We had great feedback from parents on our Facebook page whose children hugely enjoyed the 3 day camp. A massive thank you to the coaches that made it all possible, CDA Stephen Lavery, Luke Moloney, Ciaran Gallen, Declan Kitching and young Jason Foy. Also our Childrens Development officer Annette McAtavey who did great work getting everyone registered.
New Hertfordshire CDA commented that the strength of the Cul Camp was testament to the hard work put in by the likes of Paul Gallen, Mick Foy, Gerry Naughton, Liam Timon and Gerrard Fee over the years.
Underage training for u8s-u16s takes a break for the summer holidays and returns on Saturday 6th September at 3pm at St.Josephs, Gardenia Avenue, Luton. Anyone looking to get their children involved or for more info can do so by contacting Liam Timon on 07757743865 .

Men's Hurling & Football
Men's hurling and football training continues this Tuesday & Thursday at 7.30pm in Goodmayes.
The footballers will play TCG in the semi-final of the football championship on Sunday the 17th of August at 11.30am in Ruislip. Good luck to all involved.
The hurlers had a narrow defeat against Cu Chulainns in the championship on Saturday 1-11 to 1-14. They will play Sean Traceys B in the Championship semi-final on Saturday 17th of August in Ruislip at 4.30pm. The very best of luck to both teams.
Ladies training continues on Tuesdays (now to be in Goodmayes) and Thursdays in East London memorial park at 7pm for August. The ladies are now preparing for the league final on September 6, location TBC.

Championship: This Sunday all roads lead to Ruislip with both our junior and senior teams taking part in their respective championship semi-finals.
Proceedings start at 11.30am with the junior team locking horns with Thomas Mc Curtains and trying to make it into their third final in three years.
The senior team are up at 4pm with a repeat of last years semi final with a battle against a hungry and much improved St Kiernans, nothing less than a 100% effort will be required to advance. The club kindly asks all of our members to come out and support our teams.
Farewell: The club would like to wish long serving member Hugh Cunningham, wife Michaela and daughter Evie all the best as they leave London after 10 years at the club.
Wedding Bells: A big congrats to club members JP Boyle and Carol Mc Nicholas who tied the knot recently with a wedding in Mayo.
Baby Boy: Well done to club member Kevin Browne and his wife Kate on the arrival of baby son Flynn Patrick.
Vintage Day: The ever popular London Irish Vintage Day returns to Berkeley Avenue on Sunday 31st August with the convoy leaving Cricklewood at 12 noon and arriving at Greenford 12.45pm.
