Croydon Camogie Club Notes
Croydon Camogie Club are hosting a Table Quiz in St. Boniface’s Tooting on Friday 12th September. Doors are opening at 7pm with the quiz starting at 7.30pm. There is a maximum of 4 people per team with the entry fee £5 per person. Please email [email protected] to register a table for the quiz by Friday 5th September. .
The Senior team defeated Fullen Gaels in the second round of the championship on a scoreline of 5-5 to 2-1. This was a good team effort with the goals coming from Danielle O’Sullivan, Caoilinn Ni Neill and Elaine Egan. The Junior team defeated Bros Pearses 3-5 to 2-5 in the last group game in the championship and are into the semi final.

London Youth GAA
The next meeting London Youth Committee meeting will take place on Tuesday the 9th of September at 8 30pm at The Emerald GAA Grounds at Ruislip and meetings will continue to be on the third Monday of every month.
The very best of luck to London U16 Development Squad who have been invited to take part in the Dermot Earley Blitz in the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, Co.Mayo on September 6.

Tara GFC will be the hosts to the first annual Girls U13/15/17’s Football/Camogie 7’s Tournament on Saturday the 13th of September at Tir Chonaill Gaels Grounds in Greenford. This tournament is kindly sponsored by J Ffrench. Registrations will commence at 10.15am followed by games at 10.45am. Provisional U14 Conrad Ryan Tournament on October 18. St Anthonys

Dinner Dance: The annual St Anthony’s Dinner Dance will take place on Sat 29th Nov at the Crowne Plaza, Reading. Tickets costing £55 are now on sale from all club members.
St Brendans
The Intermediate Championship Final proved to be a step too far for the seniors at the weekend when they went down 3-12 to 0-9 against North London Shamrocks at Ruislip.
There is a Shiels Cup match scheduled against St Anthony’s next weekend. Check our Facebook page or website for details later in the week.
The club’s annual Golf Day will be held on Saturday September 6th at Thorney Park Golf Club, which will be followed by a three course meal and presentation. Entry is £50 per player and further details can be obtained from either John Malone on 07932 611975 or Paddy Corscadden on 07974581144.

St Clarets
The London born players lost against Harlesden Harps in the inaugural Home Grown Competition by 5-10 to 0-11. There is a senior game scheduled for next weekend against Shalloe Pearse in the Mullarkey Cup. More details on the club’s website. St Dympnas
The Seniors are back in action on Saturday 6th September at 3.30pm In the Cahill & Hurley Cup Semi-Final against Glen Rovers. This is prior to the League Play-Off between Oxford & Cambridge in Oxhey Park, Watford.
This is the first of two cup competitions we are still involved in, with a Fr O’Hanlon Cup Semi-Final still to come.

Hertfordshire CDA Stephen Lavery is running a 7 week Fitness, Strength & Conditioning Course for the County u14 & u16 Development Squads from Wednesday 10th September at Nicholas Brakespear School in St.Albans. Cost of the course is £25 per child.

Our training sessions will continue from 6.30pm till 7.30pm for the U6’s and until 8pm for all other age groups at John Billam sports ground, Woodcock Hill, Kenton, Harrow HA3 0PQ. Please do not park on the grounds as this is private car parking. Please ensure that all your children are registered for insurance purposes with the club and make sure that all the children have their mouth guards at training/matches as they are now compulsory.

Thomas McCurtains
Men’s hurling and football training continues this Thursday at 7.00pm in Goodmayes.
The footballers lost the final of the championship to Moindearg by a point on Sunday. After a poor first half the team put on a fantastic display in the second half only to just fall short. Final score Moindearg 1-5 Thomas McCurtains 0-7. They will play Dulwich Harps in the Mullarkey Cup Quarter Final at 4.30pm in Greenford on Saturday September 6.
The hurlers drew their championship final with Cu Chullainns in what was a very exciting game. They led by 7 points midway through the second half but Cu Chullainns kept pressing to earn a draw. The replay is fixed for the 13/14 of September. Ladies training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays in west ham. The ladies are now preparing for the league final on sept 6th at 12.30pm in Wormwood Scrubs. Tir Chonaill Gaels
After a 2 year absence the London senior championship cup is back in Greenford following an almighty battle against Fulham Irish last Sunday at Ruislip.
Man of the match award went to Mark Gottsche with other excellent performances from Brian Collins, Brian Ross and Joe Feeney. TCG 1-12 Fulham Irish 1-9 The Junior team were given a walkover last weekend against Round Towers in the Home Grown competition.
Well done to our ladies team who beat St Colmcille last Saturday in the Junior championship at Greenford.
Their will be an anniversary Mass for our late Vice President James Callaghan this Saturday in the visitation church in Greenford at 7pm.
Long serving member Gabriel Donohoe RIP who passed away in June will have his ashes spread over our grounds on Sunday 28th September.
