St Brendan’s

The curtain has been lowered on the St. Brendan’s career of Shane O’Hare, as he and his wife Shauna have returned to Ireland. Shane joined the club in 2005 with notable appearances for the “Champions League” team. Shane’s continued sterling performances soon earned him a starting position in the senior team and indeed he was a key member of the 2006 Senior Championship winning team. He continued to show his commitment and dedication to the Brendan’s in the subsequent barren years and was then rewarded as he captained the team to the 2012 intermediate championship. Best of luck to both of them in their new life in Ireland also congratulations on the birth of their son Fiachra recently.
Congratulations to former St Brendan’s manager Pat McNabb who was part of the St Eunan’s backroom team as the club regained the Donegal SFC on Sunday.

Tir Chonaill Gaels

Our domestic season came to a finish last Saturday with us beating Round Towers in the Conway cup final and in doing so winning our fourth London trophy. It has been a great journey for this bunch of lads after the disappointments of the previous season to come out and show great grit and determination to win all in front of them. It has been a remarkable season for the club with the All-Ireland Club Quarter final against the Connaught champions to be played on Sunday 14th December in Ruislip.
The club pass on our condolences to former member and social club manager Adrian Byrne who sadly lost his brother Stephen to illness last week in Australia.
Many thanks to all of the teams who attended our quiz night last Saturday evening in the club house which was a club fundraiser. Well done to quiz masters Barney and Stocker in keeping the house in order.
All at the club pass on our best wishes to assistant club PRO Michael Kingston who recently was awarded the Lloyds list award as Maritime lawyer of the year.
