Handball: We are the only GAA Handball club outside of Ireland and share excellent one-wall handball facilities at St. Paul’s Academy in Abbey Wood. The sessions run most Wednesday evenings so contact Niall on 07789636586 for further info.

Youth GAA: Gaelic Football for boys and girls is run at St. Paul’s Academy in Abbey Wood every Saturday morning from 9:30am-11:00am. Under 12 (born 2002 — 2005) and under 14 (born 2000 — 2001) — all are welcome! Thank you to all who participated in the U12 blitz recently. Best of luck to the U14 boys on their tour of Ireland!

Oisin

Ladies: Last Wednesday a strong Oisíns junior ladies team welcomed the visit of Liverpool Wolfetones for a top of the table league clash. In glorious conditions the Didsbury team produced their best performance of the season to record a comfortable victory. Final score Oisín 7-13 Wolfetones 2-2

Men: Oisin seniors played in the Lancashire senior football championship on sunday against St Peter’s at Turn Moss. In an excellent game, Oisin put in a great display and went on to win the game. Final score: Oisin 0-13 St Peters 0-9

Training: Ladies continue training each week on Monday and Wednesday at 7pm. Men continue training on Tuesday and Thursday at 7.15pm.

New players: The club is always on the lookout for new players for both the mens and ladies teams. If you are interested, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

 

London Youth

The next meeting London Youth Committee meeting will take place on Monday the 16th of June at 8 30pm at The Emerald GAA Grounds at Ruislip and meetings will continue to be on the third Monday of every month

Sympathies go out to the families of the late Jim O’ Regan St Clarets, Tommy Karr Dulwich Harps and Margaret Denning Dulwich Harps. May they Rest in Peace.

A big thanks to all who attended the Hurling blitz last Saturday 24th of May in Ruislip. A big thanks to all who helped out in organising this day and also a big thanks to all of the coaches and children who helped make this day a great success.

U6/8/10’s football Blitz will take place in Ruislip on Saturday the 31st of May with a 12 Noon start.

 

Shalloe Pearses

Established in 1920, the club is the oldest in London and has a unique history in both football and hurling (Brothers Pearse). We are based in Willesden, and train at King Edwards Park (Willesden Sports Centre). We are a friendly, and social club and welcome players of all abilities who wish to play football. The team enjoyed a comprehensive victory in the recent challenge match with the London Over 40’s. Best on the night were Tony Brady in the backs and Michael Noonan was the best of the forwards. The London Over 40’s had some familiar faces on show with Liam Brennan rolling back the years with a lively performance in the forwards. St Anthonys

Underage Gaelic Football training has begun at the Kings Meadow pitches, Reading. The first session took place on May 10th with almost 20 attendees. Race Night: St Anthony’s GAA will host a race night in the Gateway bar, Reading on Saturday, June 7th beginning at 8pm.

To add some colour to the night, we are asking all attendees to wear their county colours, with prizes on the night for the best togged out and best represented county. It should be good craic so if you have colours or can get some from home, please wear them out.

St Clarets

Thank you to everyone who supported our Race Night on Saturday and thanks also to Ye Olde Crowne in Hayes for the sponsorship of a new set of jerseys for the minor team.

The seniors have a league match this weekend, but as of yet we do not know the opposition. Check the club’s website www.stclarets.co.uk for details during the week.

Dates for the diary: Tara summer camp will take place on the Monday the 28th of July until Friday the 1st of August to finish up the camp with presentations. More information on the camp will follow shortly.

Training Session at John Billam Grounds, Woodcock Hill: Tara Youths training will continue every Friday at John Billam sports ground, Woodcock Hill, Kenton, Harrow HA3 0PQ from 6.30pm till 7.30pm for the U6 till 8pm for all other age groups. Please can I ask all parents not to park on the grounds as this is private car parking .Please ensure that all your children are registered for insurance purposes with the club. Please make sure that all the children have their mouth guards at training/matches as they are now compulsory.

Tara Men’s: Training every Tuesday and Thursday 7.15pm sharp at Northolt Rugby Club, Cayton Road UB6 8BJ. New players welcome.
