Former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson undergoes emergency surgery

FORMER Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has undergone emergency surgery for a brain haemorrhage, according to reports.

A statement from United said the procedure “had gone very well”.

His son Darren, who manages Doncaster Rovers, missed his side’s game today “due to family reasons”.

Ferguson was at Old Trafford last weekend to present rival Arsene Wenger with a gift ahead of the Frenchman’s departure from Arsenal.

This is a breaking story, more as we get it…
