IRELAND have confirmed a friendly with England - their first in Dublin in 20 years - which will take place at the Aviva Stadium next summer.
The fixture, on June 7, will be the first time Ireland welcome England to the Republic since 1995 when a friendly at Lansdowne Road had to be abandoned because of rioting English supporters.
Next June's match, which is England's first visit to the Aviva Stadium, comes after a friendly last May at Wembley which ended 1-1 after Shane Long headed Ireland ahead before Frank Lampard equalised for England.
Club England managing director Adrian Bevington said:
"While inevitably the focus for Roy and his team is on Brazil and the World Cup, we are always planning further ahead and we are delighted to announce this fixture next summer.
"It will be a significant moment for England to play in Dublin again, and due to the hard work by both organisations on many fronts we fully expect it to be a fantastic occasion enjoyed by both sets of fans."
