Extra 100,000 Rugby World Cup tickets to be released

IRISH rugby fans will be given another opportunity to obtain tickets for the 2015 World Cup as an extra 100,000 are to be released next week.

More tickets for all 48 scheduled games, including Ireland’s four Pool D games and every knockout fixture, are being made available by organisers World Rugby.

As the host nation, England fans who applied for Pool A tickets during the last ballot in September 2014 will be granted priority access on Monday, July 27, with 15,000 tickets allocated.

On Wednesday, July 29, a further 30,000 tickets for the knockout stages will go on sale at noon for all fans who unsuccessfully applied in September only for matches staged at Twickenham.

On Thursday, July 30, another 30,000 tickets for Pool A and B matches will be made available to the general public from noon, including those who did not apply last year.

Finally on Friday, July 31, the last 25,000 tickets for Pool C and Ireland’s Pool D will go on general sale at noon, as well as any extra unsold tickets from the previous windows throughout the week.

How to get last minute tickets to the 2015 Rugby World Cup:

All tickets will be sold through World Rugby’s official ticketing website.

  • If you want tickets for an Ireland group match, go to this website at noon on July 31

  • If you want tickets for a knockout match and have applied for some in the past, go to this website at noon on July 29

  • If you want tickets for a knockout match and have not applied for some in the past, go to this website at noon on July 30, and again on July 31 if you are unsuccessful

Customers are advised to visit the World Rugby's official ticket website prior to noon on each day as online queues are to be expected.

Ireland's Pool D games begin against Canada in Cardiff (Millennium Stadium) on September 19, before they take on Romania (Wembley Stadium, London) on September 27, Italy (Olympic Park, London) on October 4 and finally France (Millennium Stadium, Cardiff) on October 11.
