Evan Ferguson has been linked to Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur

IRELAND'S YOUNG FORWARD Evan Ferguson has been linked with a move away from Brighton & Hove Albion to clubs like Tottenham and Chelsea today.

The Sun reports that both London clubs Tottenham and Chelsea are extremely interested in the Ireland star.

"Spurs regard Ferguson as a player who could develop into a potential long-term replacement for Harry Kane," says the outlet.

They also say that "Chelsea's new manager and Brighton's old boss Graham Potter and director of global talent Paul Winstanley were interested in bringing Ferguson to Stamford Bridge to help with their goal problems".

Ferguson has been highly rated in football circles for a while. The Ireland youngster made his debut for League of Ireland side Bohemian's in a preseason game against Chelsea at the age of 14.

A move to Brighton soon came after and he's not slowed down since.

The Bettystown native has become a regular in Roberto de Zerbi's side and has also scored twice for the Seagulls.

The 18-year-old also made his Ireland debut back in November and has impressed a number of fans and pundits with his performances.

He is also expected to be included in Stephen Kenny's Ireland squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifier against France next month, barring a fresh injury.
