Eight Ballyhale Shamrocks players have been included in the Club hurling Team of the Year

THE AIB GAA Club Hurling Team of the Year includes eight members from the All-Ireland champions Ballyhale Shamrocks. 

Ballyhale Shamrocks are the most successful club in the history of the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship with nine titles 

The Kilkenny side were victorious once more this year when they beat Antrim side Dunloy Cuchullains 1-22 to 1-15 in late January.  

Ballyhale’s Killian Corcoran, Richie Reid, Darragh Corcoran, Adrian Mullen, Eoin Cody, TJ Reid, Colin Fennelly, and Joey Holden are all nominated for the team gong.  

Beaten All-Ireland finalists and Ulster champions Dunloy have 3 players named in the nominated panel.  



 

They are Ryan McGarry, Kevin Molloy, and Conal Cunning. 

Waterford side Ballyguner make up the rest of the side with 4 players nominated. 

They include the likes of four players named on the team. Stephen O’Keeffe, Conor, Pauric Mahony and Patrick Fitzgerald.  

Ballyhale's Holden and Mullen are also in line for the Hurler of the Year award at Friday night’s ceremony at Croke Park, with Ballygunner’s O’Keefe also nominated. 

This award will be unveiled this Friday, March 10th at the AIB GAA Club Player Awards ceremony at Croke Park.
