‘I don’t think I will ever be able to fully walk away’ – Conor McGregor hints at UFC return

CONOR MCGREGOR has dropped his biggest hint yet that a return to UFC is imminent.

The Irishman left fans stunned and confused in equal measure last month after announcing his retirement from MMA.

The announcement came despite previous comments indicating he was set for a return to UFC this coming July.

Now the Notorious appears to have performed yet another U-turn after taking to Twitter to all but confirm his comeback.

McGregor spoke openly on social media about his passion for UFC, confessing to his legion of fans: “I love It dearly.”

“If I am being honest with myself I don’t think I will ever be able to fully walk away from fighting,” he tweeted.

“We are all fighters in this world and each of us will be fighting for the rest of our time here.

“So why not do it live on PPV baby. Pop a bottle!”

The comments are likely to reignite talk of a potential rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The Russian defeated McGregor in four rounds at UFC 229 last October, with the Notorious itching for a rematch ever since.

While a money-spinning encounter between the two is likely, the Irishman is likely to face another opponent in his next match.

All of the specifics are, as yet, unknown but one thing looks certain – McGregor is far from done in the world of UFC.
