Donegal senior football manager Paddy Carr has stepped down from his role as head coach after only five months in charge.
Carr was appointed to succeed Declan Bonner in October, but has found times hard
The inter-county football team are bottom of the Division 1 Allianz Football League and are heading for Division 2 after a string of poor results this year.
Their only win in the League has come against Kerry in January.
Donegal confirmed the news via their website today with a statement.

The first part of the statement read: "CLG Dhún na nGall regret to announce that Paddy Carr is resigning as Donegal manager with immediate effect."
Carr's part of the statement added: “Following a discussion with some senior members of the Donegal football team, I want to announce that I’m stepping away from the position of Donegal team Manager with immediate effect. I want nothing more than the best for Donegal and that will never change”.
Donegal will now play Roscommon on Sunday, where relegation is certain.
They then open their open their Ulster campaign on Sunday, April 23, away to Down in Newry.
