Cruse set for summer switch to London Irish

TWENTY SIX year old hooker Tom Cruse will join London Irish in the summer.

Cruse has impressed for RFU Championship outfit Rotherham Titans during the past two seasons.

Having previously played for Stockport Rugby Club and Sale Sharks Cruse is looking forward to joining the Exiles.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Rotherham and am grateful for the opportunities they have given me, Cruse said.

“The chance to sign for London Irish and play in the Aviva Premiership is something I have worked hard to achieve. There is a lot of excitement around London Irish at the moment and I’m looking forward to getting started when I join in the summer. Until then my sole focus is on leaving Rotherham Titans on a high.”

London Irish Operations Director Bob Casey is ‘delighted’ that Cruse has agreed terms.  “Tom has been an emerging talent in the Championship for a number of years so we are delighted that he has signed for us,”Casey said.

“He has a strong set piece and is dynamic around the park. He is ambitious, the right age and a player who wants to be part of London Irish’s plans and we look forward to welcoming him in to the London Irish family in the summer.”

Other London Irish recruits for the 2015/16 season include Ben Franks, Bredan McKibbin, Joe Trayfoot, Andy Goode, Dominic Waldouck, Sean Maitland, David Sisi, and Matt Symons.
