Conor McGregor was involved in a serious bike crash on Friday

UFC SUPERSTAR CONOR MCGREGOR was knocked off his bike on Friday after he collided with a car. 

The Dublin native was cycling in the countryside near his home in Co Kildare on Friday afternoon, when the accident between the incoming car and his bike occurred,  

The former UFC champion shared the aftermath of the video and photos on social media.  

The man who appeared to be in the car can be heard apologising to McGregor 

McGregor says: "All good mate, all good. Don't worry about it." 

He adds, "I could have been dead", but he tells the man "All good mate". 

"I'm totally sorry seriously, "the other man says."

"Got a bang of a car just now from behind," McGregor wrote on his Instagram page. 

"A sun trap, the driver couldn't see me. Full speed straight thru me.

"Thank you, God, it wasn't my time. Thank you wrestling and judo also. 

"Having an awareness on the landing saved my life." 

"Friends and family of the 32-year-old offered their support after the accident  

McGregor's partner Dee Devlin said, "Beyond blessed babe Jesus Christ!" 

While a host of current and former Irish UFC personalities echoed similar sentiments 

Paddy Holohan commented, "Someone up there watching over ya" 

The Dubliner will now try to return to the sport that made him a household name around the world. 

The UFC mogul McGregor has not fought since suffering a serious leg injury in July 2021 in the second of back-to-back defeats to Dustin Poirier. 

The long-awaited return is expected later this year.
