CONOR McGregor will be allowed to return to Ireland despite being charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief in New York.
McGregor's attack on a bus carrying several fellow UFC fighters at the Barclays Center on Thursday saw him sitting before a judge today to learn his immediate fate.
The Dubliner was pictured in handcuffs this afternoon as the NYPD transported him to a Brooklyn courthouse, where his bail was set at $50,000.
Cian Cowley, McGregor's teammate who was also involved in the bus attack, had his bail set at $25,000
Reporting from the courtroom this evening, MMA journalist Ariel Helwani revealed that McGregor's passport had not been seized and he is free to leave the United States if he so wishes.

He will however have to return in June to be sentenced.
It comes after McGregor and at least a dozen of his friends crashed Thursday's UFC 223 media day and attacked a bus filled with UFC fighters and staff.
The attack was reportedly "retaliation" for an incident which saw fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov and his entourage confront McGregor's teammate Artem Lobov in a New York hotel earlier this week.
McGregor and his friends were caught on camera throwing several objects at the bus, breaking a window and causing injuries to fellow fighters Michael Chiesa, Ray Borg and at least one UFC employee.
However, the Irishman's alleged target Khabib Nurmagomedov came away unharmed.
