Conor McGregor Dublin pub punch victim ‘didn’t leave his house for days’ after attack

THE MAN punched in a pub fracas allegedly involving Conor McGregor was left so shaken by the attack he didn’t leave his house for days.

Gardai are continuing to investigate the incident, which occurred at the Marble Arch pub in Dublin back in April.

Footage surfaced on TMZ Sports last week appearing to show McGregor striking the man in the face after he apparently refused a glass of whiskey from the MMA star.

The man, who has only been identified as a 50-year-old male from Dublin, was left badly shaken by the encounter.

Speaking exclusively to the Irish Sunday Mirror, a source close to the victim, who is thought to be from Drimnagh, said the man was enjoying a quiet drink in his local when the incident occurred.

According to the source, McGregor came into the pub and offered everyone a drink of his whiskey, but the man refused because he “doesn’t drink shorts at all”.

The Notorious was not taking no for an answer though and “wasn’t impressed” when the man turned down his offer of a free drink for a second time.

Next thing he knew, McGregor had punched him in the face.

“He didn’t feel the pain of it at the time but the next day he was in bits. It was a proper hard hit,” the source told the Irish Sunday Mirror.

“His face was very sore and he definitely knew he had been punched. He was very shook by the whole thing and didn’t leave his house for days.”

The source was keen to stress that the victim is not seeking any apology or compensation from McGregor – he just wants the Gardai to deliver justice..

“He wouldn’t have been a fan of McGregor before all this and he most certainly isn’t now,” the source added.

“Everyone in the pub was shocked by what had happened and couldn’t believe it.”

The incident comes just a few weeks after McGregor avoided a court appearance over the alleged theft of a fan’s phone in the US.

Back in April, McGregor was arrested in Miami after allegedly smashing and stealing a fan's phone after he tried to take a picture of the UFC star.

Irish fighter initially faced charges of strong-arm robbery and criminal mischief, according to a Miami Beach Police report.

The charges were ultimately dropped.
