Conor McGregor's shows off incredible transformation in ‘10 Year Challenge’ post

CONOR MCGREGOR has highlighted his incredible transformation from jobbing MMA fighter to UFC icon over the past decade.

The Irishman is arguably at the pinnacle of his sport despite a recent controversial defeat to Russian rival Khabib Nurmagomedov in Las Vegas.

While the Notorious is still waiting to see whether he’ll be hit with a ban for his part in the post-fight brawl that unfolded in the wake of the Nurmagomedov loss, he’s got plenty to be thankful for.

Not only is he celebrating the birth of a second child with his long-term partner Dee Devlin, but his very own signature whiskey, Proper No 12, has been flying off the shelves.

There’s also the small matter of his very own documentary, Notorious, which has just arrived on Netflix where it’s already proven a hit with fans.

Even so, McGregor still took time out to sit back and reflect on what has been a crazy decade for the Irishman who went from apprentice plumber to all-conquering fighter.

Taking to Twitter, McGregor decided to showcase the change as part of the viral #10YearChallenge sweeping social media.

The idea is simple: you post a current picture alongside one taken 10 years ago to highlight the impact the passing of time may or may not have had.

In the case of McGregor, the change is fairly noticeable, with the Irishman going from a mid-sized fighter to a tattooed, fearsome behemoth.

“5 world titles later” McGregor wrote alongside the side-by-side images.

“The man. Inspirational,” one fan replied.

“Changed the game, inspiration,” another added.

“The people's champ. The champ that bought UFC to the world. The champ that made the made UFC worth $4b. The champ that we want,” a third said.

McGregor also couldn't resist another plug for his whiskey, which has undergone a bottle redesign.

The Irishman really has come a long, long way.
