Conor McGregor has said it was an honour to have Hollywood A-lister Arnold Schwarzenegger in the audience for his triumphant world title fight with Chad Mendes.
The Dubliner knocked his American foe out in Round Two of the Las Vegas event on Saturday, where many star names – including former boxer Mike Tyson and Brazilian soccer player Neymar – were in attendance.
Schwarzenegger, famed for his acting role as ‘The Terminator’, tweeted McGregor to congratulate the 26-year-old on his win, using the hashtag #McGregornator.
Congrats to the #McGregornator. You did it again, @TheNotoriousMMA. #worldchampion #UFC

The post received almost 2,500 retweets before McGregor finally responded on Wednesday, thanking the Austrian-born actor for attending the fight.
Thank you Arnold! Great to see you cage side! It was an honor! https://t.co/jYAlK9GQQd
