Paul Flanagan, the Clare inter-county hurler, has retired this week.
The 32-year-old defender won two All-Ireland titles with his native Clare: one in the Under-21 All-Ireland in 2013, and the other in the senior championship last year against Cork. Flanagan also won two Allianz Hurling League titles and has four county titles, as well as one Munster Club title with Ballyea.
Speaking on Clare's social media, the Ballyea player admitted it was an honour to have played for his beloved Clare.
"It has been the honour of my life. Thank you for the support and opportunity along the way," Flanagan said.
