LIMERICK'S STAR hurler CIAN Lynch will miss the remainder of the Munster hurling championship because of a hamstring injury he picked up against Waterford last weekend
Limerick GAA confirmed on Thursday evening that his Munster Championship is over, but did not confirm any return date, where Limerick are expected to plough on with
The two-time Hurler of the Year underwent scans this week to assess the problem.
"On Saturday evening last, Cian sustained a hamstring injury and will now undergo a period of rehabilitation under the supervision of our medical team," the statement read.

"As a result, Cian will not have any further involvement in this year's Munster Hurling Championship. No further comment will be made regarding Cian’s injury at this time. We wish Cian a very speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back playing again in the very near future."
This came after Kyle Hayes, Seamus Flanagan and Peter Casey had all been ruled out for John Kiely's team.
Limerick take on Tipperary next in the Munster Championship on May 8th.
Throw-in at the Gaelic Grounds is at 2pm.
